Giant melting popsicle floods Union Square

Snapple had to abort its attempt get into the Guinness Book of World Records by erecting a 16 tonne popsicle in New York's Union Square when the popsicle started melting and unleashed "a pink tide of kiwi-strawberry-flavoured fluid" that flooded the square.

"What was unsettling was that the fluid just kept coming," Stuart Claxton of the Guinness Book of World Records told the New York Daily News. "It was quite a lot of fluid."
