If you're looking for something to do this weekend, you might consider heading to Bristol, Tennessee for Dukesfest 2004, a three-day celebration of the 25th anniversary of The Dukes of Hazzard. Hosted by Catherine Bach (aka Daisy Duke) and former Congressman Ben Jones (Cooter), Dukesfest events include the Hazzard Hoedown, Cooter's Cruise-In, and the "Carnival of Thrills" stunt show. Yee-haw.

Kim Mitchell gets a job

Looks like Kim Mitchell (who apparently is "one of the most prolific makers of hit records in Canada") has a new job as a DJ for Q107. The article concludes, "What fans didn't know about Mitchell 20 years ago was that, under his ball cap, the frenetic musician was going bald." Umm, I think people may have been able to figure that out.

Saddam Hussein's novel

A new novel reportedly authored by Saddam Hussein has been found. Get Out, You Damned is a heartwarming tale of Arabs and Muslims vanquishing Western devils in battle. I must admit that when I saw the headline, I was hoping it would be some sort of dark erotic thriller.
